James E. "Jim" Leach, 65, of Cambridge, died Saturday (March 13, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born April 13, 1944 in Quaker City, son of the late William Leach and Sylvia (Carpenter) Leach. Mr. Leach was a self-employed carpenter by trade. He raised deer and was an avid hunter. He was always available to help friends in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Leach and Robert Leach; and a sister, Leona Yanosik. He is survived by a daughter, Misty Black of New Concord; a sister, Leola Giesey of Quaker City; a step-brother, Robert Yaw of Iowa; a granddaughter, Chloe; his former spouse, Rachel Reichert of New Concord; and many nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (March 16, 2010) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
