James A. McCulley Sr. 69, Cambridge, passed away Friday (Dec. 6, 2013) at SEORMC. He was born June 17, 1944 in Cambridge, the son of the late Pappy and Mary (Warne) Slack. James retired from Cambridge Machine, where he was a Machinist, after 22 years of service. He attended Cambridge High School, and was a member of the Eagles#386 in Cambridge. He enjoyed mowing grass, and working outside around the house, watching football games, and listening to the radio. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Thomas McCulley, and a sister, Patty Shimp. James is servived by his wife, Barbara D. McCulley, Zanesville, three sons, James (Judy) McCulley, New Concord, Jonathon (Glenda) McCulley, McCutchenville, OH, and J.D. (Tiffany) McCulley, Roseville, one daughter, Julie (Matt) Scott, Cambridge, two brothers, Dave (Donna) McCulley, Cambridge, and Paul (Shirley) McCulley, New Concord, one sister, Brenda (Jerry) Johnson, Cambridge, ten grandchildren, Adrianna, Brogan, Madalyn, Jameson, Lynkin, Deklan, Heather, Jass ,Gilian, and Cassie, five great grandchildren, Novalee, Pacey, Brady James, Briannalynn, and Cruz, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. No funeral service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to in his name to Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
