James L. Morris

James L. Morris, 64, of Quaker City, died Sunday (April 14, 2019) at his home.

He was born March 9, 1955 in Canton, son of the late Harold Morris and Irene (Williams) Morris.

Mr. Morris was a 1975 graduate of Shenandoah High School and attended the Beaver Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Warner) Morris, whom he married September 11, 1976; two sons, Justin (& Sabrina) Morris of Quaker City and Arza Morris (& Ashlee Turney) of Quaker City; a daughter, Tracey Morris (& James Campbell) of Quaker City; a brother, Ronald Morris of Louisiana; two sisters, Diane Tolewitz of Barnesville and Debbie (& Joe) Vodila of Byesville; six grandchildren, Marcus, Sydney, Gavin, Conner, Anthony, and Allen; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held Thursday (April 18, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Christopher Morris officiating.

Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
