James L. Peterson

James L. Peterson Sr., 84, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, at Altercare of Cambridge, surrounded by his family.
He was born April 6, 1937, son of the late Don F. & Ruth (Hazelwood) Peterson
Mr. Peterson was a self-employed truck driver for over 45 years, and an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
He will be deeply missed by many.
James loved fishing, camping, and spending time with family
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary (Flowers) Peterson, who passed away on November 28, 2012; a son, Carlos Peterson; a brother, Don Peterson; a sister, Mary Ann Tapp; and a grandson, William Domhart.
He is survived by three sons, James L. (Pat) Peterson Jr., Doug (Dawn Moore) Peterson, and Troy Peterson, all of Cambridge; two daughters, Dr. Shelly Sanetti of Tacoma, WA, and April (Kevin) Massey of Cambridge; several grandchildren, including James L. Peterson III, Brandon Peterson, Derrick Peterson, Stephanie Massey, and Margaurite Allen; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and a sister, Bonnie Jean White of Columbus; sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown of Cambridge, and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Visitation will be held ThursdayFebruary 17th from 11 am to 1 pm at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Randolph White officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
