James Speedy

James W Speedy, 30, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Bodo, Norway.

James was born June 9, 1991, in San Diego, California, son of Dan and Dora (Tellez) Speedy.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife Chyanne (Brokaw) Speedy that he married on May 22, 2012; one daughter Emmy Speedy; a brother Charles Speedy (Katie Moran) of Columbus; one sister Jennifer (Aaron) Rummell of Cambridge; a niece Alivia Leasure of Cambridge; his brother- in- law Zachary (Audrey) Leasure; and his mother- in- law Penny (Sam Beskid) Brokaw of Pleasant City.

James graduated from Cambridge High School and Buffalo Mid- East in 2009. James was a Christian by faith and a highly decorated Marine. He loved his family and playing video games. He enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, and was goofy and fearless. He has run two Marine Corps Marathons and was active and fun.

The visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2022, from 11AM until 7PM at the Stop Nine Church of Christ in Byesville. The family service will be private at 11AM Saturday, April 9,2022. Public graveside services for GySgt James Speedy will take place at Northwood Cemetery, 1399 N 10th Street, Cambridge, OH 43725, following the service. Conducting the Military Services will be Rifle Co L, 3d Bn, 25 ^th Marines, locally known as the Lima Company 3/25.
