James Russell Stewart

James Russell Stewart, 81, of Cambridge, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at SEORMC.

He was born September 25, 1940, in Cambridge, Ohio, a son of the late James and Ethel (Rayner) Stewart.

Russell was a social member of the Eagles and owned Russ's Auto.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers; Richards and Joe Stewart, and his two sisters; Mary Neff and Bonnie Gordon.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Maleski) Stewart, whom he married on November 24, 2000, his two sons; John (Courtney) Ferguson of Byesville, and Mike (Leah) Maleski of Cambridge, his daughter; Jodie (Joe) Seresun of Cambridge, his six grandchildren; Braden and Brooklyn Maleski, Khloe and Luke Seresun, Lexi Adair, Brody Jasielum, AJ, and Drew Wilkin, his four brothers, Jake (Sandy) Stewart of Cambridge, Rex (Sheri) Stewart of Cambridge, Bill (Beth) Stewart of Cambridge, and Buddy (Lisa) Stewart of Cambridge, his sister; Sandy Watson of Cambridge, his special neighbors, Missy and Steven (Reese) Lingafelter, and his special friend, Dave Adair.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge from 11AM-1PM, with the service to immediately follow. Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh will be officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville.
