James A. Trainer, 81, of Quaker City, died Saturday (April 6, 2013) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born February 27, 1932 in Fredericktown, son of the late William Trainer and Ruby (George) Trainer. Mr. Trainer was the owner of Trainer's Creations. He was a member of the Lore City United Methodist Church. Mr. Trainer was a 32nd degree member of Olive Masonic Lodge # 210 F. & A.M. of Mt. Ephraim for over fifty years and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. He enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Yoho) Trainer, whom he married July 25, 1969; a son, Mike (& Beth) Trainer of Apex NC; a daughter, Lisa (& Tony) Schwartz of Fredericktown; a sister, Aldine (& Robert) Goettle of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Tashena (& Chris) Snow, Ciera (& Say) Lomphoy, and Savannah Trainer; a great-grandchild, Reaghan Snow; a brother- & sister-in-law, Larry and Susan Yoho of Missouri City TX; and his special friends, George and Sam Muffett, and Denny Amadeo. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where Masonic services will be held that evening. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (April 11, 2013) at 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, with Pastor Bill Abrams officiating. Burial will be at Salesville Cemetery.
