James L Young

James L. Young, 81, of Venice, Fl formerly of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Tidewell Care Center at Village on the Isle.

He was born November 15, 1942 in New Albany IN, son of the late Elbert L. Young and Barbara J. (Lyskowinski) Young.

Mr. Young retired from Nissan, where he had worked as an industrial engineer.

He was a graduate of Indiana University and Cambridge High School class of 1960.

Mr. Young was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Shirley A. Porter of Cambridge.

He is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Mowrer) Young, whom he married April 1, 1971; a daughter, Kimberly A. Young of Portland OR; a step-son, Anthony J. Santero of Indianapolis IN; a sister, Susan Hemming of Bala Ontario (Canada); and a nephew, Michael LaLonde of Mississauga Ontario (Canada).

Burial will be at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
