Janet Hines (Zahl) Roth

Janet (Zahl) Hines Roth, 74, of Cumberland, died Friday (April 8, 2011) at the home of her daughter, Christine Caris. She was born September 13, 1936 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Albert Zahl and Ruth (Lawrence) Zahl. Mrs. Roth retired from Riser Foods as an office/clerical worker. She enjoyed playing games on the computer and also shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Roth, who died in 2004. She is survived by two sons, John (& Janie) Hines of Akron and Joe Hines of Cleveland; two daughters, Christine Caris of Cumberland and Sarah Godfrey of Cuyahoga Falls; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be held. A celebration of Janet's life will be held Saturday (April 16, 2011) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Christine's home (55469 Spencer Road, Cumberland OH). Friends are encouraged to stop by and share memories of Janet.
