Janice C. (Goff) Simon

Janice C. Goff Simon, 67, of Senecaville, died Friday (February 25, 2011) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born January 3, 1944, in Detroit MI, daughter of the late William H. Goff Sr. and Mary (Finley) Goff. Mrs. Simon was a retired aide at Cambridge Developmental Center. She was a member of Worldwide Church of God New Life in Christ Church. She loved fishing, her daughter and granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a niece, Vicky Sue Goff, and a nephew, William Howard Goff III. She leaves a daughter, Cathy (George) Hoyt of Senecaville; a brother, William H. "Billy" (Vicki) Goff Jr. of Pleasant City; a granddaughter, Cierra Jade Hoyt; a special nephew, Robert "Bobby" Goff; a great aunt, Adeline Ball; and dear friend, Eleanor Moyer. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where the service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (March 1, 2011) with Pastor John Sims officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memorial Gardens, Cambridge.
