Jeannine M. Anker, 78, of Cambridge passed away Tuesday (July 29, 2014) at the Beckett House after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 16, 1936 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late William T. and Jennie (McKim) King. Mrs. Anker had previously worked at the former Rink's Bargain City for 25 years She was a custodian at Faith United Methodist Church where she was a member and participated in the Women's Circle. She was a volunteer at SEORMC gift shop for 12 years and was a 1954 graduate of Cambridge High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James R. Anker; one son Jeffrey J. Anker; two sisters, Joy C. Meighen and Linda L. Pennell. She is survived by one son Jay (Teresa) Anker of Cambridge; one daughter Karen (Randy) Winnett of Cambridge; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Alicia) Anker, Megan (Shane) Currie, Kyle Winnett, Clayton (Megan) Anker, Jayme Anker, Shawn (Lindsey) Anker and Shannon Weaver; fourteen great grandchildren; very special friend and companion Ronald L. Moore; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
