Jeffrey L. House, 46, of Quaker City, died Saturday (June 7, 2008) at his home. He was born on February 2, 1962 in Barnesville, son of Roy Donald House and Dixie Emmajean (Baker) House. Mr. House was a devoted superintendent of S Powell Construction of Weirton, WV. He was a hard-working equipment operator since the age of eighteen. Mr. House was a 1980 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He loved hunting & farming. He was an avid fan of NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Allen House and James Michael House; and his grandparents, Sylvester & Pearl House and Joseph & Emma Bates. He leaves his wife, Tammy J. (Taylor) House of the home, whom he married on January 16, 1981; his parents, Roy Donald House & Dixie Emmajean (Baker) House; a son, Bradley (& Jessica) House of Quaker City; a daughter, Alicia (& Andrew Harriman) House of Quaker City; two sisters, Melanie (& Burt) Doudna of Quaker City and Shelly (& Ken) Lucas of Quaker City; five grandchildren, Alden House, Emmie House, Hunter House, Kassady Harriman and Kaleigha Harriman; a niece, Brandi (& Todd) Eagon; a nephew, Justin (& Mallory) Doudna; several aunts, uncles and many close friends. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where services will be held on Friday (June 13, 2008) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Batesville Cemetery, Batesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeff House Family Fund, c/o Peoples Bank.
