Jerry W. Starr, 72, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (November 13, 2018) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

He was born September 4, 1946 in Cambridge, son of the late Arthur "Bill" Starr and Emma Florence (Carter) Starr.

A 1964 graduate of Old Washington High School, Mr. Starr retired from Starr Advertising where he had been the owner for many years. He had also worked at the Jeffersonian and NCR.

He was a member of the 10 ^th & Clairmont Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha (Bowman) Starr, whom he married August 7, 1965; a son, J.D. (& Julie) Starr of Cambridge; two daughters, Sheryl (& Steve) Taylor of Kimbolton and Diane (& Doug) Lyons of Lore City; a brother, Dennis (& Judy) Starr of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Dakota Taylor, Mallory Taylor, Dalton Taylor, Marlo Taylor, Andrew Hartzell, Kaydence Starr, Carter Starr, and Camden Starr; and an aunt, uncles, cousins, and several nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday (November 15, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evang. John Keith officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
