Jesse Roy Huhn

Jesse Roy Huhn, 81, of Cambridge and formerly of New Concord, died Wednesday (September 30, 2015) at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 17, 1934 in Cumberland, son of the late Harry H. Huhn and Margaret (Moore) Huhn. Mr. Huhn was a truck driver for JL Coats and also RS Scurlock. He was a 1953 graduate of Cumberland High School. Mr. Huhn was a US Army veteran, having served from 1954 to 1956. He was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Cambridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Huhn; two brothers, Ralph Huhn and Frederick "Dale" Huhn; and a grandson, Steve. He is survived by a son, Timothy Lee Huhn (& Missy Milton Warne) of Byesville; two daughters, Teresa (& David) Thurston of Quaker City and Heather (& Troy) Garber of Philo; four siblings, Robert Huhn, John Huhn, Dana Huhn and Dorothy L. Starr, all originally of the Cumberland area; five grandchildren, Trista, T'anna, Courtney, Braedon, and Jesse; and three great-grandchildren, McKayla, Markus, and Luna. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., as well as to the staff of Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, for their kind and caring support. Visitation will be held Monday (October 5, 2015) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Guernsey County Veterans Council, PO Box 572, Cambridge OH 43725.
