Jesse W. Wilson, 89, of Freeport, died Friday (December 29, 2006) at Hennis Care Center, Dover. He was born November 16, 1917 in Birmingham, son of the late Jesse E. Wilson and Anna M. (Lawrence) Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from the Sewer Pipe Industry after thirty-two years of service. He was also a life-long farmer. He was a "work-a-holic". Mr. Wilson was a Londonderry Township Trustee for twelve years. He enjoyed gardening, photography and reading The Bible. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Gladman) Wilson, who died December 9, 2005. They were married on November 19, 1938. Also deceased are a daughter, Bonnie Jean Myers; six brothers; three sisters; and a grandson. He leaves two sons, James L. (& Linda) Wilson of Uhrichsville and William R. (& Kathy) Wilson of Canal Fulton; four daughters, Carol (& John) Christian of Wadsworth, Rose (& Albert) Hlad of Cambridge, Annabelle (& Fred) Norman of Lakewood, and Nancy (& Dale) Lyons of Suwanee GA; twenty-three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, and also on Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (January 3, 2007) at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Burns and Pastor Tom Detling officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
