Jessie "Faye" Proudfoot

Jessie "Faye" Proudfoot, 69, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (November 12, 2008) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on June 11, 1939 in Winterset, daughter of the late Homer Cosgrave and Martha Thelma (Smith) Cosgrave. She married John H. Proudfoot Jr. on December 10, 1961. Mrs. Proudfoot retired after twenty-three years with NCR, where she had been a maintenance worker. She also worked at The Cozy Corner. Mrs. Proudfoot was a graduate of the former Madison High School. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. She collected Footprints poem memorabilia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed away on June 4, 1996; a son, Martin Scott Proudfoot; a brother, Sonny Cosgrave; two sisters, Betty Leonard and Jean Morris; and a great-grandson, Kaden Bond. She leaves a daughter, Kelley (& Junior) Weaver of Cambridge; a brother, John (& Betty) Cosgrave of Cambridge; seven grandchildren, Timmy (& Jen) Bond of Cambridge, Senior Airman E-4 Cody (& Kristy) Bond of Germany, Johnathan Weaver of Cambridge; Brandi (& Buddy McManaway) Weaver of Claysville, Taylor Kidd of Byesville, Katie Proudfoot of Cambridge and Amanda Tedrick of Cambridge; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Stacey & Janice to whom she was particularly close to; and her extended family at The Cozy Corner. Family and friends may call on Friday (November 14, 2008) from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 6:15 p.m. Burial will be at Clearfork Cemetery, at a later date.
