Jessie B. Roscoe, 92, formerly of Cambridge, died Sunday (October 7, 2007) at the home of her son in Beavercreek OH. She was born on March 13, 1915 in Noble County, daughter of the late Thomas Lafollett and Nellie (Smallwood) Lafollett. Mrs. Roscoe retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital, where she had been a supervisor. She was a graduate of Pleasant City High School. She was a member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God. Mrs. Roscoe enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. She loved to attend the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Roscoe; three brothers, Maywood, Charles and Arthur; and two sisters, Rosa Cale and Lillian Brown. She leaves two sons, Richard (& Louise) Roscoe of Beavercreek and David (& Lavonne) Roscoe of Columbus; two daughters, Janet (& Jack) Campbell of Cambridge and Margaret Mahoney of Massachusetts; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (October 11, 207) at 12 Noon at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Rev. Jerry Blankenship officiating. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton OH 45420.
