Joan C Mchenry

Joan C. McHenry, 94, of Cambridge, is going home to be with her beloved Jesus.

She was born June 2, 1930, in Byesville, daughter of the late George W. Hill and Silence Pearl (Gaston) Hill.

Mrs. McHenry retired from Cambridge Health Care Center, where she had worked as an aide for many years.

She was an active member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church of Cambridge and enjoying bible studies at the church.  She volunteered a lot in the Cambridge area.

She was a 1948 graduate of Byesville High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted McHenry, who died June 13, 1983.  They were married February 23, 1949.  Also deceased is a son, Dave McHenry; a daughter, Rebecca Joan Lowe; a brother, Larry Hill; a sister, Roberta Lou Stroud; two grandchildren, Brock Hamilton and Ashley Hamilton; and faithful friend, Gracie.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (& John) Luskevich of Cambridge, Beth (& Greg) Clark of Coshocton, and Amy (& Steve) Hamilton of Coshocton; a daughter- in- law, Michelle McHenry of Coshocton; six grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson, Zack McHenry, John-Michael Luskevich, Adam Clark, Abby Morgan, Lacy Vickers, Amber Bates, and Richard Hawthorne; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, cleaning staff, and laundry staff at Hospice of Guernsey and Astoria Place of Cambridge for their excellent care and always going above and beyond for Joan.

The graveside service will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11AM. Pastor Kris Bright will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Joan's memory to Hospice of Guernsey, 9711 E Pike Rd Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
