Joann C. Ostojich

Joann C. Ostojich, 89, of Adena, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her home.

Joann was born on June 20, 1934, in Duncanwood, Ohio, a daughter of the late Peter and Sophia (Rocker) Ostojich.

Joann enjoyed crocheting, painting, doing yard work, bingo, watching game shows, wordsearches, artificial flowers, and spending time with her family. She worked at RCA, NCR, Salt Fork, and Hecks in Waynesburg, PA. She was Catholic by Faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, George and John, three sisters, Sophia, Lucille, and Kathryn, two nephews, Joe Ostojich and Georgie Ostojich, and a niece, Diane Ostojich.

Joann is survived by her nephews, Mark (Le Ann) Papesh, Henry (Kelly) Papesh, Pete Ostojich, Michael (Letta) Ostojich, Jim (Vetta) Ostojich, Wayne (Tracy) Ostojich, John (Carolyn) Ostojich Jr., and Gerald Ostojich. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Sandy Ostojich, Debbie (Kevin) Holyak, and Donna (Harry) Platt, and her great niece, Faye Rose, whom she shared a special relationship with, and several other great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 6-7 PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, December 1, 2023, at 12PM at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
