John B. Cosgrave, 54, of Cambridge, died Monday (August 3, 2020) at Cedar Hills, Zanesville.
He was born July 27, 1966 in Cambridge, son of the late Homer B. "Sonny" Cosgrave and Laverne E. (Wilson) Cosgrave.
He graduated from Cambridge High School and Guernsey Noble Career Center (Heating and A/C), Class of 1984. He worked briefly at LA Emmert and several years at Ables Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Refrigeration before his accident on January 18, 1992.
Johnny loved traveling all over watching his nieces play softball on the traveling teams and for Cambridge High School. He was a big part of the lives of his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He loved his companion and his world, his dog Karma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Stephanie K. (Kenney) Cosgrave.
He is survived by a brother, Don (Teresa) Cosgrave of Cambridge; his nieces and nephews, Kristina (Brandon) Lippert of Salesville, Kyle Cosgrave (Shelby Fabian) of Cambridge, and Kendra Cosgrave of Cambridge; a son, Nathaniel Cosgrave of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Johnathan Cosgrave and Nataleah Cosgrave of Cambridge; his great-nieces, Kenlee and Karter Lippert of Salesville; his great-nephews, Koa Lippert of Salesville and Langston Cosgrave of Cambridge; his aunt, Shirleen (Wilson) Evans of Goshen; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at a later date with burial at Clearfork Cemetery.
