John Hubert Crosson Jr., 70, of Cambridge, died Thursday (May 14, 2020) at his home.
He was born July 30, 1949 in Cambridge, son of the late John Hubert Crosson and Mary Maxine (Knight) Crosson.
Mr. Crosson retired from Roadway after twenty-seven years of service as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church.
Mr. Crosson was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He earned a Purple Heart for his service and was a life member of the Purple Hearts. He was also a member of the VFW and a life member of the DAV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Huntsman.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee (Kessler) Crosson, whom he married July 15, 2000; three sons, John L. (Stacey) Crosson of Cambridge, Justin Lee Crosson of Cambridge, and Lewis D. Barchanowicz of Columbus; a daughter, Kelly M. (Josh) Clouse of Convoy; two brothers, Matt Shaffer of Marietta and Mark Shaffer of Byesville; three sisters, Dawn (Charles) Harriman of Middleburg, Pamela Marple of Byesville, and Rita Shaffer of Pleasant City; six grandchildren, McKhenna, Griffin, Alysson, Madysson, Carrigan, and Grace; and many nieces & nephews.
Private services will be held for the family.
Friends and neighbors may attend the graveside service at Noon at Northwood Cemetery , Cambridge, on Monday - May 18, 2020. Military Honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
