John Raymond Hursey

John Raymond Hursey, 69, of Heath (formerly of Beverly) passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital.

John was born January 29, 1956, in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of the late George Franklin and Marjorie Irene (McKim) Hursey.

He was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Debora Diane (McMasters) Hursey, whom he married April 8, 1978, and who passed October 2, 2021.

He is survived by his son, John (& Pam) Hursey II of Beverly; his daughter, Dianna Hursey of Byesville; his brother, Brian (& Brenda) Hursey of Cambridge; and his sisters, Teresa (& Dave) Heston of Zanesville and Denise (& Scott) Baker of Mt Vernon. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Christopher, Shane, Gavin, Jared, and Matthew; and his great grandchild, Houston.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 11AM to the time of the service at 1PM at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Burial will follow at North Salem Cemetery.
