John Lyman Knapp

On December 25, 2007, our beloved husband, father, Papa and brother was called home to God to fly with the angels. John Lyman Knapp, 64, passed on with amazing grace. He will continue to be cherished and loved eternally by his wife and soul mate, Jane Knapp. His spirit and love will remain alive through his wife and four children. His children are Michelle (Knapp) Cordle, Jennifer (Knapp) Howell, Heather (Knapp) Miller and John Benjamin Knapp. Papa John will forever live in the hearts and minds of his seven grandchildren: Ayden, Haley, Maddie, Mya, Zoe, Hayden and Ella. He also leaves his brother, David Knapp, and his sister, Deborah (Knapp) Clemens. As a lifelong educator, he was able to look into the eyes of a child and see only potential. No matter the race, religion, or status - every child was a true gift. As an avid outdoorsman, he cherished and respected nature and every living creature. Every moment of his life was a true blessing and celebration. He will be greatly missed by all. He will forever live in our hearts and minds. No services will be held at this time.
