John Larrison, 63, of Birmingham, died Thursday (January 16, 2014) at his home, following a brief illness. He was born May 23, 1950 in Cambridge, son of the late William Larrison and Geneva (McVicker) Larrison. Mr. Larrison retired from Colgate-Palmolive, where he had been an op tech. He was a 1994 graduate of MATC. He loved living in the country and working on the farm. He enjoyed sports and was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Larrison. He is survived by his wife, Esther (Hughes) Larrison, whom he married August 29, 1986; a daughter, Heather Larrison of Cambridge; three brothers, Buddy (& Cay) Larrison of Cumberland, Ken (& Peg) Larrison of Cambridge, and Ricky Larrison of Senecaville; and his lop-eared buddy and pet dog, Timmy. No calling hours will be observed. The family will receive friends on Friday (January 24, 2014) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Birmingham United Methodist Church, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions in John's name be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Hospice of Guernsey Inc, PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725; 2) Pound Partners, PO Box 1384, Cambridge OH 43725; or 3) The Salvation Army, 221 Dewey Ave, Cambridge OH 43725.
