John R. Orahoske, 80, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (August 25, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, after a long illness. He was born November 26, 1929 in Cambridge, son of the late Andrew Orahoske and Mary (Kmitts) Orahoske. Mr. Orahoske was a retired union carpenter and also a millwright. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 386. Mr. Orahoske was Catholic by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven; four brothers, Michael, Paul, Andy and Joseph Orahoske; and six sisters, Margaret Ross, Irene Orahoske, Betty Krause, Mary Dedich, Anna Pinzarroni and Helen Hrisko. He is survived by two daughters, Doreen (& Doug) Willis of Senecaville and Judy Orahoske of West Lafayette; a brother, Robert (& Shirley) Orahoske of Port Charlotte FL; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Orahoske was cremated. A memorial service will be held Wednesday (September 1, 2010) at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Father Robert Borer officiating.
