John "Tom" Thomas Longsworth

John Thomas "Tom" Longsworth, 82, of Cambridge, died Monday (October 29, 2018) at AlterCare of Cambridge.

He was born May 7, 1936 in Cambridge, son of the late William C. Longsworth and Lilly (Lake) Longsworth.

A graduate of Ohio University, Mr. Longsworth was retired.

He was Methodist by faith.

Mr. Longsworth was a US Navy veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Todd Salters; and a sister, Dolly Bradford.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Longsworth of Richmond IN; two daughters, Carolyn Vines of Orange Beach AL and Jennifer (& Sean) Purton of Bellefontaine; two sisters, Ruth Calvert of Cambridge and Florence Brandel of Coshocton; three grandchildren, Carla Longsworth, Lane Vines, and Harrison Vines; and several nieces & nephews, including Corrine Calvert of Cambridge.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time. Tom donated his body to The Ohio State University for medical research.
