John William "Johnny" Felton, 79, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (August 10, 2016) at the Astoria Place of Cambridge. He was born March 15, 1937 in Lore City, son of the late John George Felton and Mildred (Brown) Felton. Mr. Felton had been a line worker at Ames Plastics of Byesville for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was well known for the awesome turtle soup he made. Mr. Felton was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Buffalo VFW Post 8040. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marybell George, Irene Fhiel, and Juanita Miller. He is survived by two brothers, Bob (& Juanita) Felton of Byesville and Jack (& Lori) Felton of Lore City; a sister, Vivian Shephard of Wilmington; his close friend & companion of thirty-three years, May Grindstaff of Cambridge; seven stepchildren; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
