Joseph S. Davis II, 36, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Joseph was born on January 21, 1988, in Kempen, Germany, a son to Scott A. Davis and Michelle (Guy) Bettinger.

Joseph was a 2006 graduate of Shenandoah High School and more recently worked as a roofer for AMPCO for over 10 years. Joseph enjoyed golfing, fishing, and biking, and was always helping people around his neighborhood.

Joseph is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Judy Guy, and his paternal grandfather, Joe Davis.

Joseph is survived by his son, Donte Davis of Cambridge, his two daughters, Faith Church of Sarahsville and Ember Davis of Quaker City, his parents, Scott Davis of Texas, and Michelle (Glen) Bettinger of Sarahsville, his brother, Andrew Bettinger of Sarahsville, his sister, Jennifer Davis of Quaker City, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City with the service to immediately follow. Burial will be held following the service at Guy Family Cemetery in Calais.
