Josephine Bennetta Jackman

Josephine Bennetta (Sills) Jackman, 96, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (April 2, 2013) at Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. She was born November 3, 1916 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Albert Homer Sills and Grace Bennetta (Moore) Sills. Josephine was a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church. She was a 1934 graduate of Brown High School. Josephine worked for many years and retired from the Cambridge office of the Ohio State Employment Service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Verland "Fred" Fredericks, president of Globe Molded Plastics - Byesville. He died in 1961. Also deceased is her second husband, Carl W. Jackman, who died April 19, 2012; and a brother, Joseph Sills. She is survived by her sister-in-law, June Boyer of Cambridge; and several nieces & nephews. Josephine's family is very grateful for the care, compassion, and friendship extended to her by the excellent staff at the Red Carpet Health Care Center, where Josephine has made her home for almost five years. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services and burial will be held on Thursday (April 4, 2013) at 10 a.m. at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with Pastor Jim Spain officiating.
