Joyce Ann Shreve

Joyce Ann Shreve, 64, of Salesville, passed away Tuesday (January 15, 2008) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on September 12, 1943 in Ashland KY, daughter of the late Vinner Dyer and Frances (Smeltzer) Dyer. Mrs. Shreve was a homemaker. Mrs. Shreve was a member of the Living Water Fellowship Church of Quaker City. She was very active as the treasurer of the Ladies' Prayer Group. She also headed the food pantry and coordinated vacation bible school for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers. She leaves her husband, Donald Shreve of the home, whom she married on November 28, 1964; two sons, Richard Shreve of Ft. Lauderdale FL and Joey (& Kim) Shreve of Salesville; three sisters, Betty Houck of Ashland KY, Nancy Waterman of Ashland KY and Wanda Runyan of Flatwoods KY; and two grandchildren, Cody and Logan. Family and friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City. Visitation will also be held on Saturday (January 19, 2008) from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Living Water Fellowship Church, Quaker City, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bud Hines officiating. Burial will be at Salesville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the Living Water Fellowship Church, 279 Fair Street, Quaker City OH 43773.
