Judith Oakley

Judith Oakley, 77, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (March 7, 2018) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 22, 1940 in Mud Run (Noble County), daughter of Blanche (Riddle) Plymire.

A 1958 graduate of Cambridge High School, Mrs. Oakley was a postmaster for the US Post Office for many years.

She was a life member of the Cambridge Eagles Aerie 386 Auxiliary and served as the club's secretary for thirty-five years. She had also served as the State Eagles Auxiliary secretary and was past president of the State Eagles Auxiliary. She held numerous other State and Local offices as well.

Mrs. Oakley was a member of the Salesville Church of Faith.

Above all else, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean and Bill Riddle; a sister, Wanda Hill; a daughter, Kim Fultz; and two grandchildren, Leeanne and Billy Fultz.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Robert Oakley, whom she married on February 27, 1958; four daughters, Tammy Oakley (Gary Frame) of Quaker City, Dotty (Doris) Patterson of Baltic, Becky (Bryan) Powell of Cambridge; and Brenda Christman (Scott Brown) of Quaker City; her grandchildren, Veronica Christman, Reneé (Josh) VanHorn, Heather (Mitch) Blosser, Calvin Patterson, Tommy (Heather) Sharp, Kyle Sharp, Robbie (Jennifer) Oakley, Allie Mayo, and Sydney Christman; and her great-grandchildren, Will, Jase, Quinn, Olivia, Lane, Lakin, Oakley, Novalee, Pacey, Kolton, and Kenna.

Visitation will be held Friday (March 9, 2018) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with additional visitation held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday (March 10, 2018) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor Perry Baranich officiating.
