Judy Ann (Curry) Ford, 64, of Zephyrhills FL, died Monday (October 11, 2010) at the Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City. She was born December 9, 1945 in Columbus, daughter of the late Owen Dale Curry and Mildred M. (Rainey) Curry. She was a graduate of Columbus Eastmoor High School and the Riverside White Cross School of Nursing. Mrs. Ford was formerly employed as nursing director of Newark Ohio City Health Department and retired after twelve years as infectious disease control consultant for the Ohio Department of Health. She served in the United State Army Nurse Corps in Vietnam and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service as an emergency room nurse there. Mrs. Ford was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Zephyrhills. She served as Licking County Ohio Veterans Service Commissioner for many years and was a life member of VFW Post 8152. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dana W. Ford. She is survived by her children, Dr. Victoria (& Russell) Godwin of Henniker NH, Charles McDonnell of Cambridge, Dr. Michael (& Sandy) Ford of Belton TX, Ruth Lee of Goldfield NV, Becky (& Mike) Delsanto of West Palm Beach FL, and Georgia Ray of Newark. No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
