Justin Secrest, 18, of Quaker City, died Sunday (April 15, 2007) as the result of an auto accident. He was born on January 5, 1989 in Cambridge, son of John W. Secrest and Laura (Orum) Malinak. Mr. Secrest was a senior at Buckeye Trail High School. He had planned on joining the United State Marine Corps after graduation. He loved hunting, fishing and playing football & basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Secrest. He leaves his father, John W. Secrest of Quaker City; his mother & step-father, Laura and Joe Malinak of Cambridge; a brother, Mason Secrest of the home; a sister, Kierra Secrest of the home; maternal grandparents, William and Vaunda Orum of Quaker City; paternal grandmother, Leona Retta Secrest of Bellaire; several aunts & uncles, including Paul Orum of Quaker City; several cousins, including Tasha, Matt and Zack Orum; and his girlfriend, Christina Bohandy of Barnesville. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where services will be held on Wednesday (April 18, 2007) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
