Karen Jamiel

March 26, 1943 — December 28, 2020

Karen Jamiel, 77, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (December 28, 2020) at Astoria Place of Cambridge.

She was born March 26, 1943 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Bernard Glass and Bernadine (Wilson) Glass.

Mrs. Jamiel had worked at Bank One and US Bank as a loan officer.

She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish.

Mrs. Jamiel was a 1961 graduate of Zanesville High School and a member of the National Honor Society.

In her younger years, she enjoyed competing in roller skating, bowling, painting, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Jamiel, who died in 2013; a son, Tom Jamiel; and a sister, Mary Lou Glass.

She is survived by a son, Chris (Laura) Jamiel of Cambridge; and two grandsons, Josh Jamiel and Jared Jamiel both of Cambridge.

Graveside services and burial will be held on Monday (January 4, 2021) at 11 a.m. at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge, with Father Paul Hrezo officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey, Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
