Katherine "Kathy" Stefanou

Katherine "Kathy" Stefanou, 74, passed away Tuesday (September 11, 2012) at her home on Moore Cottage of the Cambridge Developmental Center. She was born August 5, 1938 in Wooster, daughter of the late Gust and Amalia (Gines) Stefanou who were both immigrants from Albania. She has a brother, Evthmios Stefanou, and a sister, Irene Stefanou. Her family is of Albanian ethnicity. She and her family followed the Greek Orthodox religion. Kathy retired from the SDI workshop in 2002, where she worked diligently on the newspaper stacking project. Kathy enjoyed relaxing on cottage, listening to soothing music, enjoying her scented lotions, and socializing with her peers on Moore Cottage. She liked soft blankets and especially liked her "tilt-in-space" wheelchair. She had a special friend, Debbie, of Marietta. No calling hours will be held. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (September 18, 2012) at 10 a.m. at the Moore Cottage, Cambridge Developmental Center. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
