Kathryn Louise Carpenter

Kathryn Louise Carpenter, 97, of Quaker City, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at Astoria Place of Barnesville.

She was born October 23, 1926, in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a daughter to the late Homer E Carpenter and Grace K (Harrison) Carpenter Deal.

Kathryn retired from the Quaker City Post Office and was a member of the Quaker City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crochet, and was said to have several half-finished books that she was reading. Kathryn also loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, William C "Buster" Carpenter, whom she married June 11, 1947, and who passed January 25, 2008, and her brothers, Jack and Bob Carpenter.

Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Cookie (& Ron) Jackson of Barnesville and Elaine (& Larry) Potter of Quaker City; seven grandchildren; twenty- three great- grandchildren; and twenty- three great- great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at Friends Cemetery, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11AM. Pastor Thurman Harmon will officiate.
