Kathryn Irene Corwin, 97, of Cambridge, died Sunday (August 12, 2012) at the Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. She was born August 19, 1914 in Washington County, daughter of the late Alfred Drumm and Florence (Griffin) Drumm. Mrs. Corwin was an aide at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She later was a line worker at the former NCR and then worked in sterile supply at Guernsey Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cambridge and a member of the Alpha Omega Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Corwin, who died in 1967; her second husband, Gene Frock, who died in 1982; a daughter, Doris Carpenter; a son, Kenneth Corwin; three brothers, Gail, Harley, and infant Emmet Drumm; and a sister, Helen Antill. She is survived by six grandchildren, Lori (& Jeff) Eberling, Brent (& Kathy) Corwin, Cathy Carpenter, Scott (& Deborah) Carpenter, David Carpenter, and Kim (& Doug) Geczi; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Gaye Corwin; a son-in-law, Don Carpenter; a sister-in-law, Laura Gattrell; and several loving nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday (August 16, 2012) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Keith Leach officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
