Kathryn Eleanor Hosfeld

Kathryn Eleanor Hosfeld, 80, of Cambridge, passed away December 28, 2022, at the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

Kay was born August 9, 1942, in Calmoutier, Holmes County, OH, on her grandparent's family farm. She was the second of six children of Harry Hosfeld and Ruth (Hoare) Hosfeld, and later daughter of Margie (Bulchholtz) Hosfeld. She grew up in Cambridge, OH and attended St. Benedict High School.

Always with a joyously positive outlook and loving sense of humor, Kay is survived by her five siblings Betty (Dr. Richard) Eggleston, Carol (Dr. Patrick) Macedonia, Donna Davis, Joseph (Suzy) Hosfeld, Ann (James) Byrne, as well as her six children, George Richard (Niki) Vorhies, Mishelle Henson, Angela (Robert) Shepard, Daniel (Haylie) Vorhies, Jacob (Claudia) Kelley, and Patrick (Jenna) Kelley, and stepdaughter Tiffin (Mike) Barthelmas.  She was blessed with  12 grandchildren, Erika (Aubrey) Antle, Christopher Brokaw, Brooklyn McGinnis, Colt McGinnis, Danielle (Ricky) Doutt, Ben Shepard, Harrison Vorhies, Alexandra and Isabella Kelley, Emilia and Evan Kelley, and Claire Barthelmas, as well as three great grand-children Stella, Coen and Kolton.

Private services will be held at a later date with a memorial mass held at St. Benedict Catholic Church at 8:35am on May 5th with internment thereafter. Arrangements are being handled by Thorn Black funeral home.
