Kathryn A. (Rose) Walters, 64, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 31, 2018) at her home.
She was born October 28, 1954 in Dennison, daughter of Rev. Allen Rose and Beverly (Mallarnee) Rose.
A 1973 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Mrs. Walters had worked as the volunteer coordinator for Guernsey County CASA for many years.
She enjoyed cross-stitching and was very active in music & athletic boosters at Meadowbrook High School.
Mrs. Walters was a member of the Stop Nine Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Rose.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Walters, whom she married December 4, 1976. They were married for forty-two years and had been together for fifty years. Also surviving are her parents, Rev. Allen and Beverly Rose of Mansfield; a son, Bradley (& Karlee) Walters of Cambridge; a daughter, Elissa Mallett of Byesville; a brother, Steven (& Mary) Rose of Granville; a sister, Joyce (& Bill) Hohman of Vermillion; two grandchildren, Peyton Mallett and Brady Mallett both of Byesville; many nieces & nephews; and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Rose of Walled Lake MI.
Visitation will be held Friday (January 4, 2019) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Saturday (January 5, 2019) at 11 a.m. with Evang. Woody Biggs officiating.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Meadowbrook Athletic Department, c/o Meadowbrook High School, 58615 Marietta Road, Byesville OH 43723.
