Kayla K. Thompson

Kayla K. Thompson, 26, of Cambridge, died Thursday (December 26, 2013). She was born June 22, 1987 in Cambridge, daughter of Sandra Christine (Todd) Ruton and the late Gary Ellis Thompson. Miss Thompson was an employee of Plus One Pizza, where she had worked as a delivery person. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ben Thompson. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sandra Ruton and Jonathan Ruton; a son, Colton; a daughter, Ava; a brother, David (& Suni) Ruton of Newark; four sisters, Melissa Bebout of Cambridge, Amber Thompson of Columbus, Wendi (& Ben) Armolt of Cambridge, and Sherri Thompson of Columbus; her paternal grandmother, Hazel Ayers of Byesville; several aunts and uncles; and ten nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Saturday (January 4, 2014) at 10 a.m. with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home (139 S 9th St, Cambridge OH 43725) to help with expenses.
