Kermit Leland "Lou" Stiffler, 76, of Pataskala and formerly of Cambridge, died Tuesday (December 1, 2015) at Tuscany Gardens, Pataskala. He was born September 12, 1939 in Cambridge, son of the late Kermit H. Stiffler and Arlene (Morgan) Stiffler. Mr. Stiffler retired from Alcotel-Lucent, where he had been in building maintenance. He was a member of the Beckett Avenue United Methodist Church. He was a 1958 graduate of Cambridge High School. He was an avid golfer and cross-country skier. He was a sports enthusiast. Mr. Stiffler proudly served in the US Navy. He is survived by a brother, Sandy (& Marge Ellen) Stiffler of Byesville; a sister, Nancy (& Robert) DeVore of Orange City FL and formerly of Guernsey County; three nieces; five nephews; and several cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation will be held Monday (December 7, 2015) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
