Kermit L. Myers, 79, of Quaker City OH, died Thursday (January 18, 2007) at his home. He was born August 12, 1927 in Prestonia WV, son of the late John Russell Myers and Glada Marion (Martin) Myers. Mr. Myers retired from Ohio Operating Engineers Local # 18 and he was also a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion of Cambridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Ann (Hammett) Myers, who died on December 8, 2000 and whom he married on February 2, 1969; a son, Scott Brian Taylor; a brother, Doy Leonard Myers; and two grandchildren. He leaves a son, Kermit Gene (& Susie) Myers of St. Clair Shores, MI; five daughters, Karen (& Mark) Adkins of Quaker City, Melissa (& Jonathan) Elker of Quaker City, Patricia Sue Pickens of St. Clair Shores MI, Barbara (& Ralph) Crider of Marlette MI and Marion (& Bob) Collum of St. Clair Shores MI; two brothers, Paul (& Lindy) Myers of Bomont WV and Estil (& Ellen) Myers of Bomont WV; a sister, Joy (& Hardy) Graham of Bomont WV; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Private family services will be held on Saturday (January 20, 2007) at the family's home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey, Inc. P.O.
