Kevin D. Wheatley

Kevin D. "Kev" Wheatley, 58, of Cambridge, died Thursday (June 13, 2019) at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.

He was born October 14, 1960 in Cambridge, son of the late Alonzo "Red" Wheatley and Jessie E. (Tidrick) Wheatley.

Mr. Wheatley was a writer with The In Place. He enjoyed speaking at service organization functions, drawing, and writing short stories. He had a good sense of humor. He also enjoyed playing video games and going to Denny's.

Mr. Wheatley was a graduate of the Cambridge Christian Academy.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Putnam) Wheatley; a daughter, Veronica Wheatley of Cambridge; a brother, Brent (& Colleen) Wheatley of Cambridge, a sister, Cindy Wheatley of Cambridge; and two grandchildren, Oliver and Asher. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the employees of Denny's for their constant special attention and service.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (June 18, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Josh Blinson officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
