Kristy Griffith

Kristy L. "Boots" Griffith, 39, of Zanesville, passed away Thursday at the Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born July 27, 1974, in Cambridge, daughter of the late David Bennett and Janie Griffith of Cambridge. Kristy loved animals, dancing, Harley Davidson memorabilia, and all types of music. She was proud of her Indian heritage, and would do anything for anyone she knew. She also enjoyed riding bikes and going on poker runs. She attended the Word of God Community Church in Roseville. Kristy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Freeman and Florence Griffith. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, Michael Thomas, Cambridge; aunts, Bonnie (Joe) Belaj, North Carolina, Nancy (Skip) Stillion, New Concord, and Adam (Carmen) Roe, Kings Mine; uncle, Freeman Griffith, Cumberland; special friends, John Bailous and Cindy Tracy, Zanesville; and several cousins. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (July 8, 2014) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be 1 p.m. with Pastors Marc and Paula Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
