Larry Wayne Robertson

Larry Wayne Robertson, 73, of Cambridge, died Friday (October 10, 2014) at Oak Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Baltic. He was born August 28, 1941 in Cambridge, son of the late Leonard Robertson and Ethel (Todd) Robertson Larry, a graduate from Central High School in 1959, attended classes for all twelve years without missing a day. He was a captain of the Cambridge football team in his senior year. Larry has the honor of hitting the very first home run in Little League history for the Cambridge team - and still has the baseball bat that he used. Larry was well-liked by everyone who knew him. We will miss his laughter and his stories of his adventures in the past. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Robertson; and a sister, Eileen Murgatroyd. Larry is survived by a brother, Merle Robertson of Apple Valley CA; a sister, Elaine (& Kelly) Sovka of Cambridge; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ethel (Siegfried) Robertson. No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
