Larry Duane Stimpert

Larry Duane Stimpert, 63, of Pleasant City, died Tuesday (November 14, 2006) at The James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born September 4, 1943 in Woodsfield, son of the late Harry Stimpert and Mary (Lucas) Stimpert. Mr. Stimpert retired from Encore Plastics, after more than thirty years of service. He had been a plant manager. He was a 1962 graduate of Pleasant City High School. Mr. Stimpert enjoyed bowling and boating. He loved taking care of his family and spending time with his children & grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chalmer and Forrest. He leaves a son, Mark Allen (& Sandy) Stimpert of Cambridge; a daughter, Michelle Annette (& Tony) DeLong of Pleasant City; a sister, Juanita June Edwards of Blacklick; a sister-in-law, Carole Stimpert of Belpre; and four grandchildren, Taylor DeLong, Madyson DeLong, Megan Stimpert and Mathew Stimpert. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held Saturday (November 18, 2006) at 10 a.m. with Pastor John Neff officiating. Burial will be at Buchanan Cemetery, Woodsfield. Memorial contributions may be made to: Guernsey County Cancer Society.
