Larry J. "Babe" Young left this world and entered into his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born August 19, 1942 in St. Clairsville and was the son of the late George and Rosella (Dagar) Young.
Mr. Young retired as owner of the Deep Cut Tavern after 16 years. He previously worked for Shelly and Sands and was a self-employed truck driver. He was a proud member of the Bible Baptist Church in Byesville and the Teamsters. He loved his horses, all kids in 4-H, and enjoyed announcing at shows. Larry loved his life, his family and all people, he never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Willey.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (Kaiser) Young; one son Keith (Neala) Young of Zanesville; three daughters, Jennifer Young of Coshocton, Julie Young of Cuyahoga Falls and Kristi (John) Rominger of Cambridge; six step-children; two brothers "Jim" (Patsy) Young of Byesville and Bill (Imogene) Young of Caldwell; four sisters, Carolyn (George) Pavlik of Cambridge, Donna (Phil) Doan of Caldwell, Joyce (Mike) Eltringham of Cambridge and Patricia (Chuck) Justice of Sarahsville; six step-children, 10 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday with Pastor Steve Leathley officiating. Burial will be in Old Washington Cemetery.
