Laura Pearl Johnson, 86, of Cambridge, died Friday (November 30, 2007) at her home. She was born on August 25, 1921 in Wattsville OH, daughter of the late George Joy and Faye (Lee) Joy. She married Earl Curtis Johnson on September 21, 1938. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Curtis Johnson, who died on March 24, 2001; a daughter, Faye Johnson; and a brother, Donald Joy. She leaves a son, Roger Johnson of Cambridge; three daughters, Doris Jean (& Robert) Hall of Oregon OH, Rosemary (& Ronald) Harding of Cambridge and Luella (& Tom) Hanes of Cambridge; three brothers, George (& Delores) Joy of Canton, Robert Joy of Canton and Franklin Joy of Cambridge; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday (December 4, 2007) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Terry Tate officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
