Lauretta Bonnell

Lauretta Bonnell, 68, of Lore City, died Tuesday (May 1, 2007) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on April 10, 1939 in Goodyear (Lore City), daughter of the late John Skonce and Mary (Woyansky) Skonce. Mrs. Bonnell was a homemaker and also operated her own cleaning business. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Bonnell was a graduate of Old Washington High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Bonnell; and a sister, Mary (Skonce) McClelland. She leaves her husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Bonnell of the home, whom she married on January 16, 1959; three sons, Simeon (& Morgan) Bonnell of Old Washington, Samuel Bonnell of Clarksville TN and Dan (& Diana) Bonnell of Marietta; three daughters, Rhoda (& Randy) Frabel of Byesville, Rachel (& Barry) Warden of Cambridge and Asenath (& Rick) Garber of Clarksville TN; a sister, Dorothy Bates of Byesville; and three grandchildren, Roman, Reanna and Ethan. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Friday (May 4, 2007) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Burial will be at Old Washington Cemetery.
