Lavon B. Dever

Lavon B. Dever, 96, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (February 15, 2012) at Beckett House at New Concord. She was born October 23, 1915 in Mount Blanchard OH, daughter of the late Roy Krout and Inez (Davis) Krout. She married Frank Dever on December 19, 1934. Mrs. Dever worked with her husband at Frank Dever Well Service for many years, where she was an excellent business woman in the oil & gas business. She was Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dever, who died November 30, 1992; a brother, Richard; and a grandson, Joe. She is survived by a son, Phill (& Linda) Dever of Cambridge; a daughter, Sandra Kay (& Roger) Frantz of Tiffin; two sisters, Virginia Newman of Mount Blanchard and Isabelle Wolford of Findlay; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Saturday (February 18, 2012) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W Sandusky Street - Findlay OH, where funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay OH. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Lavon's name may be made to the Beckett House at New Concord Activities Fund, 1280 Friendship Drive, New Concord OH 43762.
